Friday the 13th is a day of the Divine Feminine.
It is a day associated with the Divine Feminine essences of nature, cycles, love, ritual, power, and connecting with our intuitive and emotional bodies.
Because the moon has historically been linked with feminine energy, intuition, and cyclical wisdom, the number 13 became symbolic of feminine power and the rhythms of nature. Many ancient cultures tracked time through lunar calendars rather than solar ones, making 13 a sacred and natural number. In one year, there are 13 New Moons, 13 Full Moons, and 13 Menstrual Moons for those who bleed. This reinforced the connection between 13 and feminine life force, fertility, creation, and embodied wisdom. 13 was a number of Power in Ritual with ancient Priestesses.
The idea that 13 is unlucky is relatively recent in Western culture. Some historians link the shift to the suppression of feminine-centered spiritual traditions and the move toward patriarchal religious structures. References to 13 as unlucky start appearing in European writings in the 1700s, including discussions about the tarot card numbered 13 (Death) in the system of Tarot. Although the Death card symbolizes transformation rather than literal death, people increasingly associated 13 with mortality or misfortune. Friday the 13th is marked by both superstition and hollywood horror. It's cast off as unlucky, tainted, and haunted. Our culture is so devoted to fearing the number 13 that some buildings even skip the 13th floor.
However, when we activate our ancient minds and ancient wisdom, we re-cognize the magic and importance of the number 13, remembering it as a sacred mirror of the Divine Feminine.
When this sacred patterning of 13 is activated on a Friday, ruled by Venus, the planet and the goddess of love, beauty, romance, and attraction, it marks a day for ritual, for embodiment, and for honoring the Divine Feminine.
We are experiencing the second Friday the 13th in a row, mirroring the collective’s dire need for the rise of Divine Feminine Wisdom and presence in these times of chaos, harm, and urgency.
It is truly vital in the wild times of our current world, to embody our fullest Divine Feminine Wisdom and Power (regardless of our gender).

Creation is an active process. Which means that we have a role in bringing the world around us to life and creating it for ourselves. The question becomes, are we stepping into that active role of creation or are we letting our world be created for us? What are we each individually creating? When thinking about the possibility of birthing ‘a new Earth,’ it is supportive to remember that we are only able to enact change when it begins in the world within us. Each person is the creator of their own world. The more we create and embody what we wish to see, the more that energy ripples out into the world around us.
Think about any change you wish to see. Notice what you are creating to contribute to the world within and around you. Find ways to create, even if only in your inner world. Amplify creation from your own body, heart, truth, desire, and life.

Reclaiming the Wisdom of the Divine Feminine includes a reclaiming of power: individually, collectively, and in the ways power itself has been seen, defined, and viewed. We have each likely seen power become entangled with control, force, and domination. In a world where there are such prominent imbalances of power and displays of 'power' over others, the true source energy of power itself can seem muddled.
Reclaiming power within creates an embodied imprint of empowerment that has a true benevolent impact on the world around us. Let us remember the power of declaring firm boundaries without apology, the immeasurable power of kindness, and the power of standing as an empowered person in a world where that alone is a radical act.
Rethink the meaning(s) of power. Remember how vital it is for you to embody empowerment. Explore power within and around you. Find power in surprising and new places. Think about how empowering others also empowers the greater good.
